I've played a good amount of Splatoon. It's pretty fun. But GOTG? That's going way too far. 

I'd argue that on Wii U alone, Smash Bros, Super Mario 3D Land, and Mario Kart 8 are all better games. 

GOTG need to redefine. Or be close to perfection. I do honestly think OP's opinion might be baised in that he/she only plays Nintendo games. 

I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. 

For me GTA5 remaster is still the best game of this generation hahaha. Bloodborne was amazing. Batman a great game.

Eh, GoTG... That's a bit of a stretch, since my determination of GoTG is obviously how good/fun that game is, how, that particular game effects gaming in general, and how that game influences the rest of the market. It's too early in the 8th gen to really consider the effects that any released game will have. In my honest opinion there's always multiple games that could be called the GoTG for any given generation.

Well you have solid counter argument.

Like I wrote in OP:

"Simply put, Splatoon offers to me such a different experience and fun that I can't compared to any other game. So fresh, unique, innovative, very fun and addictive game."

GTA 5 remastered, Bloodborne (spiritual successor to Dark Souls 3), Batman or Witcher 3 dont give me things that I wrote.

You mean the critics that get paid advertisement money from the same game publishers they're reviewing games on? Yeah, as a historian that would be a source I'd throw in the garbage bin right away.

Have you ever met a person that likes GTA IV? I know I haven't. And that game has 98% on metacritic or something lol.

You say the people here should play other games than just Nintendo, perhaps you should play something other than violent open world games.
