So yesterday at gamescom Microsoft said "windows 10 will be made available on xbox one".

What does this exaclty mean? Is it just a "window 10 like look" + dx12 support?

If I remember right, microsoft also said that a special version of windows 8 would be on xbox one (at launch). Never really noticed that the xbox one had windows 8.

Will it be the same again for windwos 10?

OR will they really release windows 10 xbox one? So you can use it like an pc (Office, Steam, Old PC games, Dolphin Emulator)?

If they really made a real windwos 10 experience on xbox one that would change everything. The xbox one would be the ideal mid range pc for a perfectly cheap price. The xbix one would get alot game support (older pc games, emulators and co). The xbox one would still have its exclusive games (halo 5 and co).

But microsoft probl would loose money for online subscription and games. Why buy a Xbox one game for 60 bucks if i can get steamcode for 30 bucks + free online?

I think it just means that the console OS will be based on Windows 10 similar to how it is currently based on Windows 8.

There are definitely similarities to that on the current X1 OS. They will use the W10 design and make it easier for apps and games to run on both devices etc.
There won't be a regular version of Windows running on the console.

It's mostly under the scenes changes. And the Xbox One graphics card is a DirectX 12 card, but we don't know yet how much it will effect gaming.

It will be running Windows 10, and it will open Windows 10 Universal apps for the Xbox One. Developers will be able to design something for Windows 10, Xbox One, and Windows 10 Phone all at the same time.

TL/DR: Should run better, fast, with more options.

It wouldn't be midrange, it would easily be low-end.  The gpu is about as strong as a GTX 950 / R9 250X.  These are entry level GPU's.

I dont except much, MS always tries to hype people up. They promised also the power of the cloud and other things which didnt turned out

This gen is still on its first year buddy. Let's see midway through it, before we take on our pitchforks.

I'm just glad they didn't promise 1080p to the gamers and compromised the products delivered.

I doubt they'll let Steam run on XBox One, although they could always put it behind the pay wall.
