Forums - Nintendo - Will you be upset if the Gamepad does not transition to the NX?

Nobody wants that gamepad thing. Its one of the reasons the U is doing so poorly. Keep it optional for backwards comparability reasons.

Nobody's perfect. I aint nobody!!!

Killzone 2. its not a fps. it a FIRST PERSON WAR SIMULATOR!!!! ..The true PLAYSTATION 3 launch date and market dominations is SEP 1st

I never expect Nintendo to use the same controller twice... Line up their primary controllers from NES to the Wii U; one could hardly guess it's the same company each time.

Don't mind if the new controller doesn't feature it, but I would be pissed if there isn't some sort of backward compatibility or way to emulate it on the new device. as some of the gamepad features are neat.

Not really, the gamepad turned away 3rd party support so like what Squiddy said, it's best if it is an optional accessory

I hope its just backwards compatibility and they make it an inherent feature that if you have a gamepad you can play any NX game off-screen.

I need the Gamepad, at least for big open world games, the second screen as a map makes me stand those type of games, Also somebody mention the internet browser, I also need it for that.

If the NX has the Virtual Console then it will need to be able to use all recent control methods.

Nintendo really shot themselves in the foot with the Wiimote and Gamepad.

optional.
keep motion. gyro in splatoon is a must.

Lol, I'd be seriously afraid of what abomination the NX will be without it.

Like the whole concept crumbles without the gamepad. No BC. No unified library. No cross play/buy/save.

I'm 100% sure the gamepad will return. Just be drastically redesigned.

I like the gamepad and the option of off TV play, but Nintendo needs to improve its battery life and make it significantly lighter.
