Forums - Nintendo - How will Zelda Wii U be enhanced for its NX port?

Tagged games:

What will the NX version have that the Wii U version doesn't?

Better resolution 22 15.17%

Higher framerate 8 5.52%

Superior lighting / textures 14 9.66%

Forced new gimmicky controls 5 3.45%

All of the above 42 28.97%

Nothing 10 6.90%

NX is 2017, Zelda U won'... 34 23.45%

see results 10 6.90%

Total:145

Nothing except maybe different type of controller.

Nintendo never done port of game from same or previous generation with better resolution, higher frame rate, or better lighting/textures, and I dont see doing it now.

Zelda U port for NX will be similar like TP port for Wii, simply port with new controls.

Hopefully a good framerate.

Every Zelda except N64 Zelda's and WW HD port have good and stable framerate.

Don´t you think we need to know what the hell the NX is before answering this question?

That is why I answered playable Cranky Kong

Lol. Maybe thats it!! Thanks to the power of NX you can play as Cranky in every game.

Probably. Not sure about gimmicky controls. Although I don't personally have any issues with wiimote or gmepad controls so....

Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

It is likely more accurate to think of it as an NX game now. The Wii U version will be a dumbed down version of Zelda NX, and might not ever get released.

I describe myself as a little dose of toxic masculinity.

No, none of them have except a few 2D ones. 30fps is not a "good framerate." Good framerate = 60fps.

Today yes but considering when previous games were released 30fps was good back then.

For Zelda like game I consider stable 30fps good frame rate. 60Fps is more important for games like Mario Kart, Smash Bros, Mario 3D World, NSMBU...

I definitely do not. Action adventure games don't get a free pass. 30fps is bad everywhere.

Are people really expecting a open world game to be 60fps? How many examples of that happenning at any console at all?

Today most hardware design is left to other companies, but when you make hardware without taking into account the needs of the eventual software developers, you end up with bloated hardware full of pointless excess. From the outset one must consider design from both a hardware and software perspective."
