Ok...but what if Sony's PS4 with it's jrpg's and indies steal him back from Nintendo?

And what after that, if again Nintendo steal him back with new console and games from PS4 or XboxOne!?

I don't see your point, he will play whatever he wants to play.

True, lol. He just seems like any gamer that gets tired of the same games again and again and want to try new things after a while.

I will never interfere with my children's gaming habit.

I find it lulz worthy and pathetic when parents try to make their kids relive their lives.

Nice story. Thankfully, i never feel the need to prove my maturity by the content of the video game i played.

During my childhood i had a ps1 and n64. I only upgraded to ps2 because my dad finds more appealing buy a system that he could find pirate games for $2 each (plus DVD player). But playing a ps2 that time never stoped me from going back to my n64 (that still works).

Then came the wii and now here i am with a wii u and a 3ds

What's this supposed to mean?

I predict NX launches in 2017 - not 2016

Though I'm not a dad, I can relate. Being married, being professional in the workforce and staying involved with the rest of family and friends (e.g. being a real adult) often in multiple ways keeps me from engaging in the marathon play sessions that are kind of required for many MMOs, RPGs, and other games like Destiny, GTA, etc to make them really satisfying.

The time I have available and the social contexts I'm in, mean that I get an 1 hour tops a day. Often it's more like 15-30 minutes of gaming time per day really. MK8 and SSB and many other Nintendo games really cater well to that grab-n-go playstyle, and when I do get time to deviate and do some hardcore gaming -there's always still something there for me.

Reading this gave me shivers of anguish. That's why I will never have children or a girlfriend, it kills you as a gamer.

How old are you?

As my profile says, 31

That's the real Nintendo. They always win.

Not having time is something that happens in life regardless. :/

Not if you get a nice girl that works hard and finances your staying at home to play games.

That sounds too good to be true *glares suspiciously at Faxanadu*

It is too good to be true. As you get older and get more invested in a career, you won't have the same time or energy to put into hobbies. I have a big pile of games at home that I want to play so badly, but by the time I can finally sit down and play them, I'm too tired or lazy to actually sit up to stare at the TV for hours. I find myself just grinding away on Pokemon Y on 3DS or Wii U games on the Gamepad that I let me lay on my back and jump in and out of quickly, just like the author does (and I don't have any children to worry about). So I can completely understand the guy.

Also, finding a girlfriend/boyfriend who is a gamer as you are is one of the best things you could EVER do. It takes a gamer to understand one.

That's why i am planing to get Wii U if i became a parent, but for now i still single so that's that

So, Nintendo only have to wait until the Millennials gets children.
But they probably are too entitled and narcissistic.
