In the U.S, I would say that there's a good 90% chance that the Xbox One will manage to beat the PS4 in total sales for 2015, due to high holiday sales.

Really?  90%?

Yep,really !

Regarding US sales, PS4 owns this holiday. Xbox is doing a lot of great things and will obviously do a massive marketing push this fall with Halo and Tomb Raider, but PS4 wins with Battlefront alone. And not to mention the new Call of Duty partnership. Feel free to tag this and try to prove me wrong come January, but PS4 wins NPD for November and December.

Completely depends on if they price drop. Halo is like porn for the dude-bros man.

With a 50$ pricecut, and the SW and BLOPS3 Bundle, the Ps4 can sell more units than the xbone in the US in the holiday season

I am from Switzerland, so please accept my bad english ;)

"Normally, most of the B-teams of the DC Universe should have no problem with either Goku or any other SSJ out there, Gotenks and Vegito included. I think Black Adam would be enough, easily, to end them both. Maybe Booster Gold, if he could stop being a fuck up for a while."

Jinxrake aka best Comedian ever

With exclusive marketing for MGS5, Battlefront, Assassin's Creed, and Call Of Duty, I think Sony got this in the bag.

It would take more than $50 for the PS4 to beat the XB1 in the US this year. Microsoft basically sold the XB1 last year at $329 all season long + bundled games, and as low as $279 with throw ins on Black Friday.

With the permanent price cut, you'll be seeing them selling the XB1 for $300 base (with bundled games) and as low as $250 with throw ins on Black Friday.

On top of that, XB1 has become to goto teenager console this generation (anecdotally). Most of it was carryover from last generation 360 fans -- but teens are more likely to buy what their friends have than adults. Also, consumers have a tendendancy to rush out and buy products they wouldn't otherwise as long as the percieved value is high enough. Last year the XB1 was such a value that as a sony fanboy -- i was even telling people it was a tempting deal and to go for it. $400 + Game -> $329 + 2 Games + $50 Gift Card.

Because that has worked for them so well up until now right?

But what exclusives has X1 had this year? The PS4 has had Bloodborne and The Order to sell systems as well as the Arkahm Knight bundle.

And this fall  PS has COD, Battlefront, Until Dawn, and Uncharted Trilogy.

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

Wii:100-120 million, PS3:80-110 million, 360:70-100 million

[Prediction Made 11/5/2009]

3DS: 65m, PSV: 22m, Wii U: 18-22m, PS4: 80-120m, X1: 35-55m

I gauruntee the PS5 comes out after only 5-6 years after the launch of the PS4.

[Prediction Made 6/18/2014]

I don't know if you guys are talking about Sony dropping the price of the PS4 I can assure with 100% certainty that is not happening this year. There is absolutely no way. This is going to be a massive holiday and they're not going to leave money on the table like that.

I think people are putting to much stock on what happened last holliday to happen again. MS almost giving away the x1 and sony doing nearly nothing. The xbox division has lost to much money already and has not gained any ground in the US thanks to thouse deals, I dont see them do in something that extreme again. Sure they will do another temp pricecut and like one more game, but thats it, not the $70 pricecut + 3 games + 1year live + $50 giftcard that was given last year.

While sony now has some room to actually drop the price and remain profitable. They can, if they want to not drop the price yet, Give thouse savings in bundles. Keep the price at $400 and add like 3 games and a year of ps+. WHat I see most likely is that they will add a bunch of old first party IPs like infamus, killzone, knack, last of us, x|x-2, even bloodbourne and god of war. This way it wont eat their profit that much and they can add like 5 games. The games might be old, but if your buying a ps4 you probably dont have any of them and will seem like great offer and offer a lot of diferent games that any gamer will get at least one they will like. Sadly, the xbox does not have the luxury of numerous first party exclusive that this deal will be benefitiol for them.
