Yeah, remake as in they are supposed to redo a game that was actually good. If people want action games then they can play Squares shitty new games instead like FFXV.

Good job, way to judge a game before you play it. You're tantrums are pretty childish.

OT: I'm fine with it as long as it's good.

I'd love for all the people that are so outraged by this to explain to me what was so special about FF VIIs combat.

Well, personally it is more about how bad squares recent combat systems have been.  13 was just plain awful to me, and 15 looks even worse.  Honestly, as long as it is turn based and I can control each party member I'll probably be happy, but I don't trust square anymore.  They have sucked for far too long and took what was once my favorite franchise, final fantasy, and turned it into something that I hate.  These "dramatic changes" is just another opportunity for them to screw this up.  All they need to do to make this an amazing game is new graphics and add voice, that's it.  They will do more, obviously, but I don't trust square to make the decisions on what is good and what isn't that they can add...

Goddamn.... Very well, I'll keep my eyes open on this game.

Uh...have you actually played REmake?  It's quite different combat wise.

What the hell are you talking about? There is new stuff yeah but are you really saying the combat is somehow totally different from original Resident Evil like combat in real-time vs turn based in rpgs? Or are you talking about the re-release with the new movement option? What are you talking about?

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

I suggest letting go of SE officially then. No need hang on to old sentiments if they continue to disappointed you.

Quick turn, self defense items, critical hits, Crimsons, enough ammo to actually kill everything in the game so long as you were smart about it.

This is like the difference between Mega Man 1 vs Contra.  Totally different feel regardless of similiarities.

Is it not recognizable as Resident Evil gameplay? To me it is obvious, it is the perfect update. FF7R could do update in similar fashion and I believe many longtime fans would be happy.

The core of the game was goddamn battle system. If you were going to make it into a stupid hack-n-slash ARPG for your button mashing audience, make FF16. If they retain turn based and is at least recognizable that's one thing, if they fuck it up and turn it into another KH, that's another I'll remain cautiously optimistic for it being turn based, full party control

Make a brand new player play or watch the original vs the remake.   The original would give them the initial impression that 70% of the game was about avoiding enemies like a Clock Tower type game, because there was no choice due to ammo limitations.  The remake would give them the initial impression that intelligent use of resources was the game instead.

So people that played the original wouldn't notice much of a difference then? That sounds pretty good to me...

People that played the original would notice the remake is  a significantly easier game.
