Didnt you see, in the announcement thread there was a crowd of people begging for the PS4 version to be a hack and slash (well I assume they meant ARPG but you know) seeing as we never saw the battle system... yeah i dont know either O_0

it's turn based but with third person persepective view, if you see the choice on pic of the character on the left, it has a turn based element, that is my guess.

My guess is turnbased based on that scan but that's not what I'm saying. Even if it 'wasn't', it wouldn't be a hack and slash.

Battle system looks sweet! Can't wait to play this, even if they don't localize (Which Horii stated DQXI would be localized a while back), PS4 doesn't region lock so I'll buy the JP version. This game is looking to be a real treat not just for Dragon Quest fans but for JRPG fans in general.
