lol, launch window game not launch title and I said 1 of the two games but was more referring to Mario Kart which I expect to see with NX's first 12months (unless DK racing 2 is real). I expect Smash Bros for NX by fall 2018.

What do you think the team will be doing between start of 2015 and mid 2017? Again DLC isn't a valid answer ;)

Most of the team will go back to working on Namco bandai games. Also a launch window is 6 months not 2 years so the nx launch window will probably be from november 2016 untill may 2017.

Jheez Its like you read my posts wrong on purpose, I said "1 MIGHT be a launch window title" and already clarified above that I don't expect it to be Smash.

Also Hal labratories is its own development team, Namco Bandai was needed because they were developing 2 games within the production span of 1. So even with everyone from Bamco gone you still have a full team (Hal Labratories) either sitting idle for 16 months (not gonna happen), working exclusively on DLC (Not a reality) or working some on something new (Smash 5, Kirby or a new IP). Given the impending reveal of a new home console I bet it will be a new smash bros because Nintendo that fits in line with Nintendo's pattern of releasing the games in the first half of a systems life (2016-2018, not at the end (2020).

But anyways, I'll leave it at that :)

Probably nothing, they'll make the console backwards compatible, and the games are all on the eShop. The reason why Wii got ports is because of a lack of digital versions and no one over the age of 12 had a GameCube. Plus the GameCube controller sucked, proven by the vastly superior versions of  RE4 and Metroid Prime on Wii. RE4 on Wii was also, easily, the definitive version of the game.

Wii got ports because of its controller, they were all labeled under "new play control". The fact that the Gamecubes audience was a tiny fraction of Wii helped too I'm sure

Wii U got remaster (or at least 1) because it didn't have Gamecube BC and Nintendo wanted to fill the gap between Zelda's. We haven't seen any other remasters if I'm not mistaken

You know I was always wondering why no one ever used the dollar sign for $ony, but then I realized they have no money so it would be pointless.

It not same thing, they ported console game to handheld.

Whats a point of defintive edtion if NX will have BC or Nintendo can do simple port and realese Wii U games via Virtual Console.

How many Wii defenitive editions games we saw on Wii U!? Zero!

Well like I have said many times, I am a strong supporter of NX being a family of devices that share the majority of games. I don't think NX will be backwards compatible with Wii U and considering the huge success of remastered post-2010 games on PS4/XBO, I think Nintendo may want to do the same with select Wii U games that didn't sell up to their potential like Tropical Freeze or Xenoblade X.

Maybe NX will not have clasic BC, but in that case probably Nintendo will port some Wii U game on VIrtual Console same like they port some Wii games on Wii U console, only simple ports, but I dont think they will do any definitive editions of Wii U games.

But probably will do HD remakes of some Wii games, like Mario Galaxys or Zelda TP and SS, similar like they done Zelda WW HD for Wii U.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Hmm I'd say...
The Legend of Zelda U NX Edition
Star Fox Zero NX Edition
Xenoblade Chronicles HD+Xenoblade Chronicles X NX Edition
Pikmin Trilogy HD
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess HD Remastered

This list seems pretty reasonable but I honestly don't think they'll make definitve editions of anything, especially not MK8, Smash 4, or Splatoon. They usually just make sequels.
