What I like about resistance is that the game starts off dull and boring, but as you go on and continue the story begans to catch you at a very slow rate, and the gameplay starts improving, basicly gets better as you go on through the campaign. The last couple of battles are amazing, in the chimeran tower, thats the best most epic area I have ever played in any video game. |

No, I didn't beat the game - I've spent 4 hours playing it.

I have played tons of games and good ones are still great even months, years later. It's what keeps you coming back. Check it - within a six month period, I played the following FPS - Turok, Timeshift, COD4, COD2, Gears, Bioshock, Halo 3, MOH-Airborne, The Orange Box, Rainbow Six, GRAW 2, America's Army: True Soldier, Hour of Victory and now, Resistance. I can truly say several are forgetable. You know the formula - you grab a gun and duck for cover. You don't do anything different than any other shooter.
With COD4, you have such much to remember, and I can't get enough of being the TV gunner guy on the gunship. With Gears, going through the mansion to catch a ride with tons of aliens descending on you was memorable. With The Orange Box, just one word - Portal. With Halo 3, jumping on the scarab and playing 4-man on my wall was killer. And lastly, in Bioshock, unlocking the toaster in the tub achievement made me want to play the game again.
Great games stand the test of time. I still enjoy popping in COD2 and mashing Nazis. Doing the D-Day invasion mission never, ever gets old.
Thanks all for your comments. I was wondering if I missed something or it was a visually stunning shooter and that's about it.
