so much missinformation in your post

- trophies are more valuable and have a status symbol than all the pc archievments you have counted, those are just pixels. Trophies are integrated into the OS and every game has to support them on playstation, they can also be unlocked offline because they are on the disc.

- most of these features you counted make the stuff more complicated. The OS on the ps4 is way more advanced than windows or mobile devices because its made for gaming in mind ( i can play the game while installing the game). The games get made for consoles and are less buggy than the PC versions, see batman.

- mobile and pc have exclusives but do they have uncharted 4 and bloodborne like exclusives? no

- why you have to say its a lincense? what does it matter? I can buy a disc put it in my console and play the game without any internet connection and even unlock trophies on my ps4. And there is no restriction on that. 

And i dont need DLC, the stuff comes out latter anyways on the disc on a remastered version

All of my bills are payed through the web browser on either my Vita or my PS4, it just depends on when I do it, where I am, or how I am feeling. Phone calls are possible to any land or mobile line via Skpye on the 3G Vita. E-mail is built directly into the Vita OS, but G-mail and Outlook both work on the Vita, PS3, and PS4 browser. For Word Processing, and Spread sheets I use Office Online on the PS4 browser. Photo and Video editing can be done on the PS Vita and PS3 (PS4 still lacks this due to not being able to transfer files to the local Storage). I take all of my pictures with the Vita, but I also have a Sony Action Cam for some of my Video. I browse Twitter and Facebook via the web, and the built in apps on the Vita. And Every post I have ever made here was from a PSP, PS3, PS Vita, or PS4. 

Is it simpler? Well, probably not for everyone, however, for me, my PS4 and Vita are on 24 hours a day. They are always up to date, and I am always using them for something, so changing activities is quick, and absolutly no hassel. On the other hand, going to another room, to turn on the PC, then wait for Windows, Nvidia, Norton, Steam, EA Access, and a dozen other programs to tell me they need updates, just does not make doing any of these task a worth while effort. I can be done paying my bills, checking e-mail, of working on spread sheets on PS4 before the PC is even ready to use, then its right back to gaming, movies, and TV.

The console industry isn't dying? xD

Last Gen most people considered PC gaming a luxury saying that a decent gaming PC which is worth to build or to buy cost too much, it was viewed as a luxury by a lot of people i had conversation in person or on the interent. Now its the opposite in this generation, if i ask someone why you dont want to play bloodborne they say a PS4 is too expensive for just this or that exclusive. The same people who build their gaming PCs and spent almost the same money for a graphicscard like they could for a console. The mobile people its the same story, no problem buying a new apple phone for 600€ but a dedicated game system is too much for them.

It is... The huge decline in sales compared to last gen prove it. 

The Wii fanbase has gone, but the audience for XB and PS are more alive than ever.
