Destiny: The Taken King will add more guns to the game than existed when it launched. Wow.



Destiny had a decent variety of weapons when it launched and DLC packs The Dark Below and House of Wolves have only added to the fun.

But we haven’t seen anything yet; the first major expansion, The Taken King, will bring huge amounts of boomsticks when it launches in September.

“The Taken King features the largest armory any Guardian has ever seen, and that includes the original launch of the game last year,” according to a new Bungie.net update.

These weapons won’t just be plentiful; Bungie wants to infuse the weapon selection with “more diversity – and heritage”. To this end it has created three “foundries” – weapon manufacturers with very different approaches and selections.

Half of those guns look like rectangles with triggers and the other half look like the ones from Mass Effect down to the color scheme.

Is there even a story?? I mean awesome backstory is awesome but the story was essentially kill the thing save the world... Why is that thing evil you ask?? Because we said so thats why. What do you mean you never felt like the world was in danger, couldnt yuo see you were on the brink about to be wiped out of all existence

Seriously for all the cool backstory and lore they wrote they forgot to write this games story. Maybe they should have just let me play out the parts written on those stupid cards that were in the game but could only be viewed on thier website -__-

All previous from E3 says the story telling is back... in a good way.

Destiny universe story is really good but how it is telling is bad... you need to grind grimories or weapons to see the full story.

Agree, the back story on the Grimoire cards is so good. I wish they had put that stuff in the form of actual missions/story in the game instead of cards that you have to read on the Bungie site. Ah well, maybe in Destiny 2?

Also, they'll be launching a new version of Destiny when The Taken King launches which includes the base game, DLC #1, DLC #2 and The Taken King for $60/€60, right? Yup, just checked. Destiny: The Taken King - Legendary Edition including Destiny, The Dark Below, House of Wolfes and The Taken King for €59,99. I guess I might have to jump in.
