Retro actually wanted to do Federation Force!?. Tanabe gave a C class game to C class developer. Surely Retro would want better projects? Or do they enjoy resting on their laurels?

There's always 2 sides to a story, and Tanabe controls the Prime series. If there's a grudge being held between the 2. It is almost best they don't work together.


lives too short to hold grudges. They shudl move on and take the money and knwo that fans are ahppy they makign the game. that is where their pleasure will come from.

After making five brilliant titles I can imagine them to be offended if they were proposed to make that Federation crap. In fact, Nintendo offended every Nintendo fan out there with this game.

Did they(retro) want to do this game.... Probably not. Would they have liked to continue the Prime series, who knows. But Tanabe controls the series and he can probably dictate who makes what. And Next Level is certainly not up to the level needed to make a true Prime game. So you gotta settle somewhere.

But I would not downplay Next Level so much, they are truely a good developer.


Next Level games is a C class developer. That is not a shit on their talent but more on their status in Nintendo. They're the spin off guys.
