Nintendo Life has played the single campaign of Devil´s Third and has decided to make two top 5 about good and bad things of the game, I´ll leave it here:

List the things for us who can't/don't want to watch the videos.

Well, most of the 5 good things arent exactly good things, just fun curiosities lol

My (locked) thread about how difficulty should be a decision for the developers, not the gamers.

Well the number 3 and 2 are nice, but yeah I get what you say.

For those that can't or don't want to watch the videos.

Good:
1) The enemy is called SOD. Teh lulz.
2) Some of the game looks rather nice, not great, but good.
3) You can cut people to pieces creatively.
4) The game is challenging but doesn't feel unfair.
5) Ivan's idle animations are fun.

Bad:
1) Framerate is inconsistent, too inconsistent and too easy to see.
2) Some character models look awful.
3) The narrative is pretty much nonexistent. No real connection to what's happening.
4) Most characters are woefully underused.
5) Controls need serious refinement.

Or basically, on a technical level, the game is a mess, but at least it's kind of funny and not too unfair.

Yup has cult classic written all over it.

It would be interesting to see if they can patch this game up so that at least the framerate and some textures are improved. I wonder if it would be at least passable at that point. Plenty of games that have shit storylines get by because of engaging gameplay (not saying this game has that, but whatever).

I did like the running up the wall thing and catching a sword with your hands, though neither is original. There do seem to be some good ideas scattered around in this game, enough that it probably should have been a better experience. Some parts do actually look somewhat fun. Still, the entire vibe from the game screams that it was made in 2007, not 2015.

The framerate and the general lack of polish is my bigger concern about the game, if only that was fixed the rest looks like a ton of silly fun, but I will never paid more than 20$ for a game so unpolished, maybe the multiplayer works better, who knows, it looks pretty ambitious at least.
