I was just watching it (movie) and wondering if there were any fans on this site. Just curious.

Imust say I do love the play, the stage tricks, music, and story are spectacular.

I saw it at the Pantages Theatre during the mid 90s in Toronto and really enjoyed it. Some of the elaborate sets were amazing and the singing and acting were very good.

Sorry but if I go to a theatre it has to be Shakespear, Beckett, Goethe, Schiller or nothing at all.

looooved it, I have the movie in Blu-Ray. even though I really didn't like it that much.

I saw them in theater live in Toronto's Pincess of Wales theater (no, that's not where my user-name originated from) and it was FANTASTIC, I knew all the lyrics.

 

I really need to watch more musicals. So far all I know (and loved) is Phantom and Les Misérables and a little of the Producer.

I take it you don't like musicals, or is it just the best or nothing. Because if it is the second Andrew Lloyd Webber is one of the best when it comes to musicals.

^^ Sorry but I just can´t stand musicals... I like most forms of art and culture but musicals just make me want to kill myself... even more than usual...

I enjoyed the movie, but my first experience with PotO was with the Broadway soundtrack and the novel. I really enjoyed the soundtrack and used to listen to it when playing Mario Kart back in the day. The novel was also a great read.

I still haven't saw it on stage, but would really like to one day. A production of PotO was coming to our town years ago and I asked if my grandpa would want to come with me(he was about the only one in my family who would be into something like that). He said he'd go if I'd buy both tickets, so I passed.

The broadway show? Yes. The latest movie? Never seen it.

My ultimate goal is to compose symphonic metal incorporating pieces like that.
