Am I the only one that dislikes these "basic" looking designs for websites/UI in general? It's one of the most annoying things about MS/other's new platforms, i.e. Metro, at least IMO.

^I like that, mainly because all of the essential info of the front page is right there cuddled up together. Should be nice for mobile too, where this site is pretty much a nightmare.

That mockup looks pretty good... Except for the vgc buddy. If we are going to change stuff, please don't change the vgc buddy into that
