Superman Prime was called "Superman Prime" because, after he disappeared (hiding in the sun) there were thousands of Superman descendants.  They said "the prime Superman--the first--would be coming back in the 853 Century".  The story was DC One Million because in the 853 century, that was when issue 1,000,000 of Action Comics would come out.

In that story, Superman Prime literally did nothing but hide in the sun until his enemy (Solaris) tried to assassinate him with a Kryptonite bullet.  The "bullet" turned out to be a Green Lantern ring which Superman used to crush Solaris.  That's it.  That's all Superman Prime did.  I keep seeing  made up stories of how powerful Superman Prime (not to be confused with ultra powerful Superboy Prime --who turned eviland wanted to be called Superman Prime) is but he literally did nothing!

 

I agree Superman would beat Goku but I hate hearing "Superman Prime is basically God".  He had a cameo in All Star Superman which was a story about Superman getting too much sun and contracting Super Cancer!!

And Goku in his 30s still learning? That's new. Training yes, but learning? I don't think so. And it was the Earth's Spirit Bomb, not Goku's. Goku simply threw it.

you forgot the part about the gl ring being the last gl ring... for whatever that's worth.

Actual feats by golden superman

1. shine like gold

2. crush solaris using a gl ring coz of his uber willpower.

3. bringing back ms. lane using some million year old remains... ewww...

4. that is all

no idea where this god and limitless potential comes from.. maybe coz superman is known to pull craptastic new powers out of his ass or something. 

not super cancer, but he did go pop and saved the galaxy :p

I can come up with some arguments as to why goku would win but in the history of forum debates, no one's mind has ever been changed so why bother.

Yes Superman would be an obstacle lol. It was certainly Goku's spirit bomb. If Earth could create a spirit bomb then it wouldn't have been destroyed. His full potential will be reached when the creaters stop producing stories lol. You still haven't answered the kryptonite question? Hell I could beat Superman. He's not even the strongest in his own universe(See Amazo)

Uh no. Earth supplied the energy, not Goku. If Goku supplied the energy, then both Vegeta and Fat Buu didn't need to be beaten up. And Superman's story will never end. And Kryptontine? He could just use heat vision on itf from afar. No more kryptonite for you to use. And Amazo? Linitless as well, because his story doesn't end either.

lol yeah, it doesn't matter if goku reached super saiyan god 100, as long as he isn't immortal, he doesn't have a chance against superman.
