Actually, hardware sales are pretty much flat YOY.

They were flat till now, but now New 3DS effect weaken and Wii U will have drop from last years Mario Kart game and bundle, we already saw that in US, Wii U this Jun sold 70k and last 140k. In best case this year YOY will be flat (with Wii U price cut), next and every other year we can expect only drop.

Wii U being up YOY is the most probable. A few weeks from june won't be so important, since it was doing better than last year before splatoon and holidays play a big part in the numbers.

It not just june, july, august too...Mario Kart with Smash Bros. had very influence on sales on holiday season. With price cut at holiday season Wii U maybe could perform little better than last year, but I think it will somewhere on pair with last year.

With a pricecut it will perform much better than last year. without it it will still perform at least a little better. oh, how can you talk about unknown july/august sales? There shouldn't be much if any difference in those two months. Not to mention september and october that should be considerably up after Mario Maker.

It's clear to me that the OP has not been around gaming for long. If he had, he'd have known that the same 'critique' has been around since the days of N64.

1. No third party support
2. Sales

Have been the two main criticisms since late 90s. There is no other way around this: There is some truth to this, but this is the path Nintendo has been taking for well over two decades now. So why are we still coming up with the same discussion topics? Wii had a couple of gems, but for the most part was a horrible console. Wii U is even worse.

Sounds like you didn't play many wii games.

I'll keep saying this: the library is boring and unexciting. Many could be happy and call me crazy, but games also sells hardware and it's clear that the games on Wii U doesn't matter anymore to many out there.

I didn't forget anything cause I don't care about the whole business aspect cause them doing bad with the wiiU hardware sales doesn't affect me as a customer... I don't have investments in Nintendo's stock so why should I care whether or not the wiiU is failing in sales? What I do care about is the promises they made and the games that I will get that can only be played on the wiiU cause that is why I bought it in the first place. If they can't keep those promises, then I have no confidence in them going forward..

So, if they want me to remain a loyal customer, they have to deliver everything they promised including the fact that they said "Zelda Only on WiiU." Now they can go ahead and port it to the NX at a later time, perhaps a year or two later, then thats fine but if it comes out on both at the sametime, that means that Nintendo didn't deliver on everything they promised hence why they will lose me as a loyal customer. Not to say I won't buy the NX if its a console but it sure wont be at launch and I will be a lot more tempted to go the hacking route than the supporting route

Oh and the whole "they will leave consoles completely if they don't launch the NX soon" is pretty nonsense at best considering how the company is making profit and they are taking various actions such as making deals with theme parks, mobile and getting more amiibos and etc to make even more profit going forward... And not to mention how much they already have in the bank

I don't recall they said that, but they certainly say Zelda for Wii U, but not only.

"Arrive Exclusively for the wiiU in 2015"

Granted they already broke one promise by delaying it but delays happen to almost every major 3d Zelda game but they did still say "Exclusively" which is the samething as "Only For"

Nintendo also said twilight princess was going exclusively for the GameCube for quite awhile and we all know how that ended.  I'm thinking the same scenario is going to happen with Zelda u.  They broke their promise with Twilight princess so I don't see why they're not going to do it again.

Well with Twilight Princess, they already had a dedicated Zelda game for the Gamecube which was Wind Waker and they also have a dedicated Zelda game for the wii which was Skyward Sword. In every console that Nintendo ever made (Except VB but that was a DoA), they had at least one Zelda game that was dedicated to that specific console but in the case of wiiU... They do not... And that is the big difference.

But I am not saying that they won't pull a TP, I am saying that if they do, they will lose me as a loyal customer. But in terms of why they might not, it is cause the wiiU doesn't have its own exclusive zelda game.
