Forums - Movies & TV - The year of Universal, Furious 7 becomes 3rd highest grossing film of all time.

For those that watched the movie, is it really that good or the only reason it did great is because of Paul Walker dead?

As a fan of the entire franchise the boost in sales clearly came from Paul Walker passing away. Nothing about the 7th movie put it leaps and bounds ahead of the rest. The real question is now how well can F&F8 hold up without Paul Walker and without the buzz.

Universal can't lose this summer. Fast 7, Jurassic World, Minions, Pitch Perfect 2. Somebody over there has a genie lamp.

That's what I'm looking forward to as well. Fast & Furious 6 did approximately $780 million. It'll be interesting to see if the next movie will sell near that amount.

Are they really going to make another movie? Damn and here I am thinking 7 was going to be the final one.

Thanks to everyone that help me confirm what I was thinking: the sale boost came from Paul dead not from the quality of the movie (to be honest it was pretty obvious but I wanted to know the opinions of those who watched the movie)

I've only ever saw the first one. It was a good action flick, never could have imagined they'd make 7 of those movies.

Sidenote: This series has worst numbering/sequel naming ever (The Fast & the Furious, 2 Fast & 2 Furious, The Fast & the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Fast & Furious, Fast Five, Fast & Furious 6, Furious 7) Make up your mind DAMMIT!

Signature goes here!

furious 7 , it is easily the worst movie in the series that i loved !!

However, adjusted for ticket price inflation, it is 140th in the United States.

There's a reason most of the films on the top are fairly recent. Pretty impressive never the less.
