He could also buy Zero Escape 3 for the 3DS.

Well, no idea how the third one will be, but no harm in recommending Zero Escape on Vita after the saving problems with 3DS version.

Also, I don't understand discounting PSP titles. Especially considering there are several that have released after PSP's life digital only for the sole consumption of Vita owners.

Oh wow. If you never owned a PSP, then that opens up around 50 or so games worth recommending. So, I do hope you get a large memory card.

Even though you say you hate them, I'll just recommend Neptunia Re;Birth 3. Tbh I think that its the first Neptunia game which can be enjoyed by every JRPG fan unlike the previous installments. It's a great game all around. I can also recommend Persona 4 Golden.

It's not really a console worth buying for a few key games. It's generally worth buying because there's a pretty big selection, and it's the best way to play indies on the move!
