Here is what they need to do. 349.99 COD BO III bundle. Bam.

Only $50 off and Black Ops III? I'm waiting for a bundle to take the plunge and this would not be that bundle. No offense but BO III doesn't add a cent of value and $350 is still too much.

I strongly disagree. Their network has always been good to me. Just the shop was a bit slow, but i never got any issues compared to the 360. That is the thing though, i am not interested enough to pay for online. I hardly use it. Theres people who do and aren't willing to pay, wich is completely understandable, wich is something that has always been free until Microsoft got in the picture and still is on the PC.

Its alot smarter to have a limited number of hours free to lure in new players than to shut them off completely. I am certainly not going to feel compelled to sub to PS+ because i dont even get a taste of an online mode that may make it feel worthwhile. At the same time, those that hardly play online don't turn away from upgrading because they are beeing coerced into buying a monthly fee on top of the console.

And yes, 50€ is a considerable investment, especially for something you hardly use. On the other end of the spectrum, players that play hundread of hourse should have to pay more. There is really no sense in the average gamer paying so the hardcore gamer can play more. Its only fair.

This all or nothing service is very limiting.

You do know every month you are getting new games thats worth 10x more than that 50 dollar/euro you pay right?

And yes many are indies.

And yes many are very good!

Is there anyway not to know? Just cause they offer acess to some games behind the paywall, doesnt mean i'm interested in them. I choose the games i feel like playing.

Edit- Please note I mentioned nothing about them discontinueing, or stopping support for the PS3. It seems most of the people who read this got that impression. I am just saying they should give consumers a strong incentive to upgrade, and I gave a method I think would work well.

Yeah.. i wonder where that idéa came from

"Sony will put GEN 7 out of its misery this fall."

It just shows how many people just read the subject.

The last PS2 game came out in 2013. Think about that. Then rethink Sony stopping production of PS3s right now.

Read the OP. Then think about whether or not I mentioned anything about stopping production of PS3s.

Yeah, Sony and Microsoft both need to focus more on their next gen consoles and leave their last gen consoles behind. I think this is the Xbox 360's last holiday, maybe the PS3 too.

and the wii u´s

Actually there was a PS2 version of FIFA last year too and I believe they may still be doing one last one this year. The PS2 had official games coming out well after it was discontinued.

The PS3 will last long after this year. It's just the way Sony is with consoles. The PS1 kept getting games until 2005 as well I believe.

Besides, it's not like Sony is even supporting the PS3 anymore; only third party Japanese companies are with late-gen/cross-gen JRPGs

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

It just shows how many people just read the subject.

It only shows that you don't know or don't care about the forum rules: http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=201838&page=1#17

"Clear, Concise, and On Point thread titles

Your title is one of the most important pieces to your thread as a portal to discussion. For potential commenters and posters, the title is the first thing they see. Your title begins the process of forming ideas and opinions and presenting them in the thread. So when your title isn't accurately framing the topic in your OP, or you add some sort of volatile or baiting opinion to "spruce up" your title, you're only sabotaging your own thread and how discussion follows. So if a moderator does come in and edit a thread title (or even some of the content), we're only doing so to make sure that your entire thread has cohesiveness and accuracy which allows the discussion to be the best that it can be."

Yes sony take the advice of some dude on the internet it always amaze me that you people dont think these companies dont have reasons for doing the things they do.That they dont have information you dont and dont crunch the numbers to see if something makes sense or not.

I have to disagree with the premise that I should pay to play a game online with others. Everything else that comes with the online subscriptions Microsoft and Sony offer make sense. I agree that supporting other consoles is worth it because people still buy them new and used. With a good experience those consumers will have a better chance of picking up another console from the same company this way. No generation should be "put out of its misery" because there is fun to be had.
