Even if it's a million retailer pre-orders. That means that people want the game. So 1 million worldwide isn't going to be that hard to get. If this sells better than GT4 prologue, then it will kill the argument that returning IPs won't sell well on PS3, because of install base.

I think GT5 being the PS3's biggest selling game is almost certain. The only game that had similar sales on the PS2 to GT3 was GTA. FF and MGS were a long way short. Now that GTA4 is multi platform nothing stands in GT5's way of being the best selling PS3 game.
