Hopefully not, just let that thing die already. Too much ports for it, yet they can't port/"remaster" anything from 3DS or even Wii/Gamecube to Wii U anymore... Of course it takes more resources and all of that, but still.. 3DS didn't need Hyrule Warriors, DKC, Tales Of The Abyss, etc.

True, but the sensitivy would have to be at maximum seeing how slowly the C-stick moves the camera in other games, and the ZL and ZR button could be a bother in smaller models, seeing how they already are bit close to the L and R in the XL model, so that should be a problem, unless L and R are also mapped to being for shooting and transforming into squid form.  There is also the problem of movement, games like this need a set of joysticks, the circle pad would lead ot a very uncomfortable or annoying experience, specially seeing how rubbery and bleh the Circle Pad gets after a while of play and a bit of sweat or something.

This. Although it might not be ported to Wii U, but I guess that would depend on a release date for NX as well as Splatoon 2.

probably not. Nintendo has made many New 3DS shooters and none have been that good, and honestly, the C-stick isnt the best for aiming. they should wait for the next console

No. The 3DS isn't powerful enough for such a big multiplayer, and it's too soon for an spinoff.

Even the New 3DS will struggle quite a bit trying to run a game like this, and I'm sure they'll aim for 60fps, and I don't see that feeble ARM11 handling that game without serious downgrades. SplaTWOon will arrive on NX Console, and SplaTWOon Go! will arrive on NX handheld as a spinoff, and you'll like that.
