why odd. i just explain to you, how this works.

bloodborn was never high in the top 100 hourly for july
than the prime day deal happened and it shoot up to 8 in the monthly (didn't chart before)

No, the fact the Fool's edition PS4 is always around #50 and has only just shown up in the monthly charts. Something is definitely wrong there. Or at least it was.

because the hourly is no actual sales tracking top 100?
the ps4 fools edition is only sold by third partys. the sales are extremely low, no matter if it hover in the #50 area

also the hourly ranking is based on previous sales and sales expetations
its an algorythm

just google amazon book bestseller list manipulation
and you will find out how it works

Didn't we come to the conclusion that the standalone PS4 does not hit the monthly and yearly charts for gaming, comes from the fact that it is in silly things like Blue ray player charts instead. They changed this for a few weeks not long back, and it went straight into the monthlies if memory serves. Now it seems it is back to being in the blueray player charts again instead. Something has been fishy about that since day one.

^ This.  It was located in the BR player section, shortly after it disappeared from the monthly charts.

Why do you keep making alts. I don't get it, if at least you wrote differently maybe it'd be less noticeable.

If it weren't for our country, Xbox would be completely screwed.

Just like Wii U and Vita would be screwed without Japan.

Not quite.

For Xb one USA accounts for 56% of sales.

For Wii U Japan accounts for 23% of sales

For Vita Japan accounts for 32% of sales

Therefore, Xb one is far more dependant on USA than Vita or Wii U are dependant on Japan. Xb one has a majority of its eggs in one basket, Wii U and Vita do not. Wii U and Vita have a chance to get good sales of games that appeal to audiences outside of Japan but do not appeal to Japanese gamers. Xb one has a lower chance of good sales for a game that does not appeal to US gamers but appeals to gamers outside USA. Which is why certain genres like racers are going to struggle on Xb one this generation.

If Xb one was selliing exactly how it is now outside of the USA, and the USA only contributed 23% of global Xb one sales the Xb one LTD would only be 7.2 million. If USA contributed 32% then the LTD would only be 8.25 million.

OT, in terms of the Fools Edition PS4 is it perhaps the case that because it's only available through 3rd parties it doesn't get counted in the monthly chart? Speaking of which, it seems odd that All but the Batman bundle is 3rd party sellers only, unless new skus are on their way very soon.

Well, that IS a little bit fishy isn't it.

A post I made earlier explaining why I think the standalone PS4 is not in the monthly top 100 when it's always ranked in the top 100 every hours:

Not necessarily. If the objects ranked higher than PS4 have a big turnover (if they stay not long in the top 100) but at the same time sell more than PS4 sell in the whole month then there could be 200 objects that sold better overall during the whole month than the PS4 "fools edition".

Still is.  All you have to do is look at the Wii U to see that it is.  The standalone PS4 is quite regularly ahead of the Wii U, yet the Wii U is in the Top 100 for the month, but no PS4 standalone SKU.

The only places Wii U and Vita are relevant in terms of market share is Japan. They would be screwed without them. Whereas Xbox One is relevant in the two largest markets.

Looks like the Batman bundle finally made it into the yearly top 100. It's crazy its almost sold as much as the Halo bundle for the year. Didn't it come out much later?
