The PS3 is still dead in Japan. Those games aren't going to move any systems, IMO.

What, do think these games are going to have the PS3 selling 70k per week consistently? I don't think so. Even if it does happen, by that the time it takes for these games to come out, Japanese third-parties will have already put their games on the DS and Wii. It's over for the PS3 in Japan. I don't see why people still think otherwise.

7 PS3 games?, this list is a joke

Why?  What other Wii games would be Japanese gamers' "most wanted"?

It's not readers' fault that Nintendo does not like to reveal new IP/games.

It (PS3's market share) might hit 30%, but definently not more. ~ Neo

(hmmm... Final Fantasy, Smaller Size, while also thinking of NMH and Z&W) Rushes out. No one heard me say that!

But, after all, IT IS THE LEADERS of the country who determine the policy and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is TELL THEM THEY ARE BEING ATTACKED, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. IT WORKS THE SAME IN ANY COUNTRY."  --Hermann Goering, leading Nazi party member, at the Nuremberg War Crime Trials

Because many games in this list does not excel at anything, or tell me which is going to make the difference between FFXIII and FFVS XIII, or tell me what is the interest in The Last Remnant and White Knight Chronicles.

Yeah, Wii in Japan is selling on a curve very similar to the PS2, while PS3 is trending a little healthier than the Gamecube. It got off to a slower start than GC, but it has picked up more momentum than GC had at this point in its cycle and may pick up a little more with the strong linup of upcoming games.

I'm expecting PS3 to sell 5-6 million units in Japan lifetime, compared to Wii's 20+ Million.

I'm thinking about the same thing.  About 6-8 million for PS3 and 20-25 mil. for Wii.

Those KIND of games + a 25,000-30,000yen PS3 will do. It's silly to call the console dead before any of the AAA games people really wants gets released, there's plently of time to spark a rebound.

@MANUELF- It's called brand name. People get excited for games or developers that have made games with a good pedigree. We don't know jack about Animal Crossing and Monster Hunter 3 either, but the names and histories of those games alone spark interests. And what do you mean by don"t "excel" at anything? Anyways, It was clear that your opinion is already bias and unchangable when you showed displeasure that PS3 games took the majority of that list, you don't have to try and make excuses or hide it.
