Since Uncharted 4 is launching in spring I bet this is true.

A year later for $40?
I'll wait a year and a half for $10, no rush.
Although I do think the rumor is not true...

Phil spence already said that the deal will be same as ryse and dead rising 3 so that mean you won't see it on ps4 whenever they come out for ps4 you will see tomb raider for ps4 too
Well the Xb one version will be $40 a year after release, so it makes sense to price it the same. I think the deal allowed PC release in Q1 2016, which is why MS could only say exclusive to Xbox in holiday 2015 and it gave Xbox a 1 year exclusivity on consoles. That seems like a deal that would get SE a decent amount of cash. A lesser period of exclusivity for consoles would have meant less money from MS to help with the development of the game. Oh, and PS4 will not allowed to have better performance parameters than Xb one.

Thats fine with me, I never buy PC games day 1 so no loss for me - I can wait :D |
You know I'll be honest as long as you really weren't longing to see Batman the game is actually amazing on the PC right now, was at a mates earlier watching as his 7.9rated graphics card churned out an amazing almost 3fps at 720p in a fight vs a few guys, half way through the fight he hit a guy so hard the sound stopped working, and he finished with such a devasting punch into the face of the last henchman that as he bounced off the wall the game froze completely needing him to hold the power button on his PC to get out of the program, we were both in tears laughing at how badly it works, like I said tis great as long as you weren't pineing for some great Batman action, he did pay about 20euros for a key off some shady site too so he wasn't suffering quiet as badly as those buying it from Steam tho.

Must be a weird contract to see, like it's one thing to say a game should be exclusive to the Xbox1 for such a period of time.... but then to allow it appear on the PC later on but have an extra amount of cash put in the deal to hold off the PS4 version for even longer again. Will it make MS back the money by nudging a few people from buying a PS4 over to the X1? I guess the main winner really is Square on the deal, they get paid to not sell their game to people.

there are certain multiplats that i associate with different platforms, when i think tomb raider i always think playstation.I will always buy tomb raider, gta, need for speed, mgs, final fantasy, devil may cry, tekken for a playstation platform and cod, mass effect, fallout, elder scrolls, splinter cell, bioshock, assassins creed i will always buy for xbox.
Personally, I think they are going to do one of two things. Either they have a clause in the contract with MS that allows them to release earlier on PS4 if sales are not up to their standards. This would mean a launch in Jan or Feb, hence the "Exclusive Holiday 2015."
OR they will release it almost a year later. I highly doubt it will be ~6 months later. Why? Well, that would make their release a month or so before/after a little game called UC4. There's no doubt that UC4 has the bigger buzz and sales potential. If ROTR released around the same time, UC4 would just suck sales away from it.
