Looks like Planetside 2 will be coming to Xbox One after all, but it may take a while.

In an interview with Polygon, Andy Sites - Director of Development at Daybreak Games - was asked what was next for Planetside 2 and whether or not we will see the game brought to Xbox One.

"Right now, our focus is PS4, but we're absolutely looking at Xbox One. Once we get PS4 done, we're going to start working on Xbox One work. We would love to do it all at once, but we want to get PS4 out first."

Planetside 2 has been in beta on PS4 for a while now and its appearance on Xbox One has been speculated about for even longer. Earlier this year, it was announced that Sony had sold SOE (Sony Online Entertainment) to the investment company Columbus Nova and was re-branded to Daybreak Game Company. Since then, it been speculated that Planetside 2 - as well as DC Universe Online andH1Z1 - would eventually come to Xbox.

Based on Sites' statement, plans are in motion - for Planetside 2 at least - and its only a matter of time.

Let the waiting game begin....

So, umm... yeah as you know I loved Planetside 2 on PC, and I'd love it to come to XB1. Hopefully they stick to their promise, as I'll be pretty mad if they skip off without an Xbox One version.

Played the open beta and launch of that game, I remember really liking it... and then suddenly never playing it again. Not sure why.

Does any still want this game? lol. We were promised it at launch and we're not just getting it. I can't think of anyone who would still have interest in this.

Haven't played it yet on PS4. Played it quite abit on PC it's a good game... expect it out on XB1 in 2018 :P

this could be funny, well not the game(no fear the game is good) but all the money EAshitheads will needs to exlain to people why battlefield and battlefront feature just a low playercount.

Looking at how long they took to get the game out on PS4 (wasn't the game supposed to be a launch title?) I'd say the Xbox may get the game in early 2017 if they are fast. Lol

What resolution is it running on the PS4? seems to have abit of alisasing... the 60fps seems smooth though.

Remember when Planetside 2 was supposed to be a launch title for PS4. lol can't wait to see how long the XB1 version takes.
