Forums - Nintendo - Monolith Soft would help with Zelda U

Monolith Soft is owned by Nintendo, so either way it's Nintendo that's making it.

I mean't Nintendo's own studios. Not studios that they bought.

The EAD teams aren't all that large individually, iirc.  So with games needing more resources these days it makes sense they get assistance.

Monolith needs to help with "Star Fox Zero". It's going to take all hands on deck to get that ready for the Holiday....

So...the studios that they bought aren't a part of Nintendo?

I kind of agree with this.  As important as Zelda is, Star Fox is far more urgent right now.  Even if Platinum just gave Monolith a couple of levels to work on (or clean-up), that might go a long way to improving the game before release.

Nice, since Zelda U is open world, this should be good

I am allowed to have my own criteria lol

Today we have found out that Monolith Soft were one of the teams to help Nintendo out with Splatoon.

We found this out weeks ago when people bought the game and beat it and saw Monolith Soft in the credits.

Well under your criteria Hal Labs, GameFreak, and Rare would all have been considered not a part of Nintendo, so yes it's just you.

Also your criteria sucks.

Game Freak is explicitly not Nintendo, though. They've even just released a PS4 game. Creatures, Inc. might be the better example.

Well, at least this can assure that the game can finish sooner rather than later, if needed.

Nintendo owns shares in GF so technically they ARE part of Nintendo. Nintendo just doesn't care what they do so long as they keep pumping out Pokemon every few years. Just like GF doesn't care what Nintendo does so long as they're allowed to choose what platforms to work on (hence why BW2 was on the massive-install base DS instead of the then-struggling 3DS).
