Forums - Gaming - Batman: Arkham Knight – PC vs. PS4 vs. Xbox One Graphics Comparison

We compare Batman Arkham Knight on PC PS4 and Xbox One. PC is set to maximum settings with 60fps enabled in the config.ini. The PC version has no or only a very slight ambient occlusion. You cannot set ambient occlusion in the graphics menu. But we checked the config files and it was always set to TRUE. So maybe it is a bug that will be fixed soon and this occurs whit and without 30fps cap. There were frame drops while driving the car or in cutscenes. Another time I had extreme textures loading issues. This seems to be a bad PC launch.

thats a nice comparison. Notice also how Digital Foundry hasnt put a comparison video out yet for such a major released game. Just saying

PC obviously still looks the best... but the differences are very minor, and in some cases the ps4 version actually looks better.

The main point the pc has, going for it, is the slightly better Anti Aliasing.

They all look the same.

Only thing missing on consoles is the smoke but thats Nvidia exclusive right?

It seems most console centric games will make for boring comparisons until a few years down the road.

Also this game was made with a modified version of UE3, can't wait to see what developers achieve from UE4.

I actually dont like the smoke, game is better without it.

You can tell the PC version has better Anti aliasing than the PS4 , which in turn has better anti alisasing than the xbox.

You notice most jaggied edges on the xbox one, slightly less on the PS4, and the least on the PC version.

However the pc version lacks ambient occlusion, and it has memory leaks, constant crashes, micro stutter, lag spikes, slow loading textures, texture pop ins...

Basically right now as is, most people would probably enjoy a smooth playing game on the ps4 over the pc version.

Reading several comments on Youtube gives me a small consensus that the game does indeed look slightly better on PS4. Even the waitress at the diner looked better on both PS4 and X1. I'm sure it will be fixed shortly, but this is quite odd for me since it's a trend of games looking weird on PC at launch.

To me they all looked the same and I watched it in fullscreen in 1080p60.

PS4 Master Race.

BTW Digital Foundry already said the PS4 is the technical showcase of this game... everything best on it.

From what I see best rain even in a game (PS4 version).

They certainly do and pointing out some very minor details(if any) shouldn't stop someone from enjoying it on either console
