1999 - N64 is magic
2000 - N64 is all I need, PAL Mega Drive Sonic is shameful
2001 - what's a Sony? Nintendo is better :P Dreamcast is pretty neat, but it lacks games
2002 - Dreamcast gets sold, GC is amazing
2003 - I love my GBA
2004 - Xbox is really cool
2005 - Xbox 360 has the best graphics of all time and the DS is awesome
2006 - lol Wii has better games
2007 - PC is really interesting, PS3 is nothing of interest
2008 - PC + Nintendo forever
2009 - PC is the best platform for competitive gaming
2010 - Wii is really boring, consoles are pretty lame
2011 - I love my 3DS
2012 - Wii U looks interesting, but I'm sticking with PC
2013 - SNES is the best console of all time, gotta start collecting
2014 - Wii U is pretty fun
2015 - Wii U + PC

This makes sense. Mid-2014 all the way to around August was when I was a gaming nerd and stuff. But I changed a lot.

I'm glad I gave up the whole fanboy thing 15 years ago. I led a happier gaming life since then. I supported all the 6th gen consoles and 7th gen consoles. Of course I didn't support them all at the same exact time. The would have been too much money, but I didn't have to miss out on anything because of misguided loyalty. Besides, I've seen what happens to someone my age when they don't give up the fanboy ghost. It isn't pretty.

Early 80s: Pac Man fever! I loved arcades and played Atari every blue moon. Really wish I had one....

3rd gen: saw a Nintendo demo in Walmart and I was in love. Got my own console and was all about Nintendo ever since. Atari who?

4th gen: Genesis does what Nintendon'!?! Oh, it's on. IT'S ON! I wish death on you, Sega. DEATH!!

5th: Hardly any new N64 games. I guess I should check out this PlayStation thingy.... And so I did. Had a blast, too. I wound up selling my N64 and buying another in 2000. Meanwhile, I racked up over 100 games for the PS1. Screw you, Sega!!

6th gen: I can't find a PS2, anywhere. Wtf? Oh well. I have this money. Guess I'll but a Dreamcast. Wait. Can this be true? Sega is AWESOME! Screw you, Sony!

*One week later, Sega announces the end of the Dreamcast.*

How could this happen to my beloved Sega!?! I guess I'll buy a PS2 and a Gamecube. Both are awesome. I buy more PS2 games but love the Gamecube more. Screw you, Xbox!

7th gen: I can't find a ps3 or Wii, anywhere! But I have this money. Guess I'll but an Xbox 360.

I end up buying every console, eventually. Hell, even the PSP manages to steal the title of "favorite portable ever" from Nintendo. Wii isn't as much fun but I still love Nintendo. I start hating PlayStation. Not sure why. Internet, maybe? I still manage to play all of the exclusive I want but the Xbox rules my gaming life.

8th gen: I own all of the consoles, already. Even bought the PS4 near launch. WiiU and Vita on day one. I still prefer Xbox One but, for the most part, I don't care about console wars. I just love gaming. It's finding time to play that's the problem! Oh well.....

1997-2008: Nintendo is awesome, but PlayStation and Xbox are cool too, I guess.
2009-2010: Oh welp, my Wii died, guess I should boot up those awesome GameCube games for the millionth time. Oh, what's that? A PS2? Cool. Hey, Kingdom Hearts 2! I've seen this before, looks cool.
2011 (Early): This is literally my 7th playthrough of Kingdom Hearts 2, I swear it's the last one!
2011 (Late): Who needs those crappy Nintendo games when I have my brand new 360 and Black Ops?
2012: This shit is boring, literally everything I play on 360 bores me to hell.
2013: Xbox is satan. PS4 is Jesus. Wii U looks like shit.
2014: I'm a poor bastard, the console wars are fucking stupid, PC is masterrace even though my PC was equivalent to a N64 in its power.
2015: Gamers are idiots, the console wars are still fucking stupid, Nintendo is handled by a bunch of clowns who don't know their fans and have no sense of rationality whatsoever, fuck them, only the blindest of sheep still supports them. Sony is gaming Jesus again, but Xbox isn't Satan anymore, PC is still the better option but it's very distracting. I'm still a sorry ass that can afford 0 games.

90s: all my friends has a NES, i need it too. thanks to my mom. bundled with Twin Bee. started with swapping/borrowing games with friends and classmates. my friends got SNES but can't afford it. some of my friends have Gameboy, i only have that brick game. :D
00s: late in the game with PS1, have a few games here and there. got my first PC and able to upgrade. RTS games FTW. still got news about consoles but PC has awesome graphics.
2008: PSP, love the graphics. handhelds are awesome.
2009: going back with consoles. got my Wii, Wii sports and everyone is playing it. stuck with 10 games with the Wii. :)
2010: PS3, 2nd console in a gen. have a few games but not playing that much.
2014: Wii U. Nintendo and HD, MK8 and 3D World is awesome. 3DS XL, nice another handheld for me and the kids. PS4 day 1. still stuck with 10 games at the moment. bought a ton of PS3 games. fell in love with FFXIII.
2015: Wii U library is full only added Splatoon as of today.

Planning to build a PC on 2016 or 2017. this is one very massive PC build project.

1989-2008- Nintendo 4ever. (still bought Sony console late in life to play the key titles, FF, etc)
2008-2011- CoD is fun. (pretty much only played CoD.... and FF)... WiiMusic... WiiFit. F that. F Nintendo. Done. I guess its Sony now.
2012-2013- Skyrim is so much better on PC than PS3.... Guild Wars 2 sucked away my life
2013- Present- PS4 has gotten me back into console gaming, and I love it.

note- Always played PC on the side for Strategy games. Civ, Paradox games, Total War, Age of Empires, etc.

1996-2000: PS1 is the best console ever. Played N64 for some games.
2001-2002: Halo is the best.
2002-2004: PS2 is the best console ever.
2005: God Of War is the best game ever.
2005-2009: 360 and Wii are awesome. Gears Of War rocks. PS3 sucks and has no games to play. PS2 is still awesome cause God Of War II. PSP is awesome cause God Of War: Chains Of Olympus.
2010-2013: PS3 is the best console ever. God Of War III is the best game ever. Uncharted is awesome. Gears Of War 3 rocks. 360 is still awesome.
2012: Wii U...I'm hyped. Day one. Worst decision ever.
2013: PS4 has no games at launch. XB1 has interesting games but Microsoft sucks. PC gaming it is. Best platform ever.
2014-2015: Wii U has a few great games but not enough. PS4 is cool. XB1 is also pretty good. PC is still the best.
