Same here. Not a rational reason, admittedly, but I can't shake the 'feels like work' thing.

It's just your personal preference, nothing wrong with that!
Or maybe because PS4 is beast.

I do. I think it ends up just being easier for some reason. Seems like less hassle to me. Other than that, I got nothing, but I do fully agree.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

I guess I am a bit burnt out when it comes to PC's because I also work with them and want a rest from them when I get home. I have enjoyed consoles far more since around 2008, knowing full well that graphics and power on the PC will be superior. I like the simplicity of just putting a disc in or download from the store and just play. I never have to troubleshoot driver issues or think about manually patching. It just works and on a 1080 display that is fine. My friend is of the Master Race and feels he needs his UHD display and 100 FPS but I gave up on that expensive hobby long ago. I guess I am just over gaming on PC. I was probably turned off from PC gaming last year where I had a spat of games with huge technical issues and after spending days trying to get them to work, I decided then that upgrading from my i2500k with GTX660ti would be a long way coming. |
I have very similar experiences to yours. Just became a bother. I too have run into massive issues with games running at times.
Gotta figure out how to set these up lol.

Thanks, I'll keep that in mind for when I feel like playing Spintires again, I couldn't get that to work with MotionInJoy at all.
Native controller support doesn't solve everything though, Elite dangerous took me weeks to figure out how to fit all I needed on the controller, I still have pages of settings saved in case it would reset again. Same with ETS2, too many options to map on a controller, I still needed a keyboard nearby.
Anyway it's time to turn this distraction off and get the projector started. It just feels nicer to leave the pc behind and boot up the machine which main purpose is gaming.

Maybe not rational, but a very strong feeling anyway. I started to hate radio until I figured out it was because of my alarm clock. It still took years of going back to the simple annoying buzzer before I found listening to the radio relaxing again. Now I hate that buzzer, every time a movie or tv show features the same alarm clock sound it's like an electric shock. Worst invention ever, alarm clocks.
