To some degree, yes. The general consensus is sony has the best E3 showing, and these two titles, including TLG greatly contributed to that. So the conference, and especially the three unicorns, will be discussed around the Internet and mentioned in gaming news websites in conjunction with the PS4. Which is basically advertisement for the console.

People watching that did not own either console may have just made up their mind on which they will buy due to their opinions of another halo/gears vs the full set of ps4 titles coming and COD push.

Personally, I decided at E3 that IF I buy a non-Nintendo console this gen it will definitely be a PS4. I was on the fence between the two overall due to my family/friends mostly owning xb1 of those that have bought either. But F them at this point. There's no way I'd pick xb1 over PS4.

Personally, 2016 is when most of the games I'd like launch and by then I'll know more about NX... so I may just skip and get NX if I am right and it does launch in 2016.

It don't think there would be any immediate effect. Those announced games are still very far off and anything can happen during the holidays.

I thought MS got more positive publicity than Sony so im expecting their base sales to rise... sony not so much

Shemmue 3 got an immediate effect in sales. Maybe a fevv impulse buyers. I think most of the impulse buyers vvill happen at the next price cut.
