Forums - Sony - Uncharted 4 is 30 fps

I'd rather Naughty Dog focus on quality of gameplay than taking out bits and bobs to push it to 60.

60 fps has more to do with graphics than gameplay.

Uncharted games in the past have had relatively simple gameplay, linear levels with platforming and gallery shooting. Uncharted 4 looks like more of that based on trailers, its the graphics and resolution keeping it at 30 fps.

Well at 30fps, it better be locked

so its just 30 fps and downgraded? i dont see any problems with that. still looks fine and you dont need the 60 fps for slower games.

That's it, I've had enough, why are these games not 72 fps and 4k? All I want to do is play these games at a graphical resolution that I don't even have and have no reason to want, why can't they do just that?

Hmm, pie.

60 fps has more to do with graphics than gameplay.

Uncharted games in the past have had relatively simple gameplay, linear levels with platforming and gallery shooting. Uncharted 4 looks like more of that based on trailers, its the graphics and resolution keeping it at 30 fps.

Uncharted 4 has linear levels and gallery shooting. Okay...

At least I got a laugh for the day.

and apparrently the uncharted games have simple gameplay too.

youd be hard pressed to find a game with more gameplay variety than the uncharted games. (shooting, climbing, melee combat, stealth, action, puzzles, etc)

Nah. There can't be gameplay when graphics are this good.

Oh contrare. This simple game with simple gameplay and gallery shooting only gets 9's and 10's :P

Great thing about uncharted is, as you say, it doesnt pretend to be, or sell itself as a third person shooter. It's not. It's a game where you're not stuck to one game mechanic throughout. I loved spec ops, but that got repetitive because it felt like all I was doing is shooting for 8 hours. Uncharted is not like that, it's an action-sequence game which just so happens to have gun gameplay, in addition to the other mechanics you've mentioned

Cinematics are very in this Gen.

I didnt say anything that was inaccurate. Just compare any of the Uncharted games to the Tomb Raider reboot.
