Seriously, that thing came out of nowhere and was so surprising that I completely forgot to make a thread for it.

I'm definitely pumped and I'm going to get it this year. It's one of the very few Nintendo games I don't care about the graphics.

It has been eaten by the backlash against the Digital conference. In a better show, people would be happy with it. Also, it releases too close to the 3DS version, and there are other Mario sports people are really waiting for, like Strikers.

I'm quite looking forward to this, but the lack of huge new titles (or even a single huge new title) along with some poor pacing and choices of presentation (did we need to know all that about the Yoshi amiibo? did we need all that Mario stuff at the end?) is overshadowing the fact Wii U has a good stream of games coming up to the end of this year. That, and the lack of 2016 stuff for Wii U (only FE x SMT) is overshadowing things.

Mario Tennis is actually a good call from Nintendo, these sort of games are important to building up a solid library. Shame there were no wow announcements to back it up.

With a name like "Ultra Smash" I just feel offended. :L

I think I'm getting tired of playing mario sports games. It was fun on the N64 and gamecube, but now I'm just getting fed up with it...

If it doesn't have online play, I'm not buying.

I never understood the Strikers hype. I'm a huge fan of football but the game was lacking and the gameplay wasn't that well thought out. After a while it just stopped being fun because you could score goals all the time with 100% success if you do it right.
A new Strikers would be nice but only if they completely revamp the gameplay.

Nintendo have been rather disappointing in recent years, I don't trust that they wont fuck this one up.
Also yeah, was totally drowned out like all the other good stuff in Nintendo's event by the shit show that was the rest of it.
