Care to explain why?  Because I certainly don't agree with that statement.  And the whole point is to allow people to play with their preferred control scheme.  Only with console gamers do we get the sentiment that more choice is a bad thing.

Mouse and keyboard are way to mechanical for me, with analogue sticks and rumble I don´t even think about the controller but rather the feel the game gives me. For me, mouse and keyboard has always been a way to be the most effective at a game, while a controller´s purpose is to provide a natural extension of your hands. But it is of course subjective.

Let's face it: Neither control scheme properly mimics the feel of holding a gun.  So it all comes down to what you're most comfortable with.  I am absolutely 100% not comfortable with a dual analog control scheme for FPSs. That feeling you get with a controller is the one I get with a mouse and keyboard.

But if they allowed both mouse and controller support for Halo, then people would have the choice of which way they preferred, rather than force people to play a way they don't like.

That sounds like the argument that PC games are better because of graphics performance. Mouse and keyboard are superior at being effective tools in multiplayer, but do they give you the best gaming experience?

Don't forget other things like like the FOV and better frame rates.

There are console FPS that make me motion sick that can be overcome with a simple FOV change on the PC.

From the looks of it, its like they want the X1 to fail.
