Forums - Sony - Killzone.com: Link your account to the PlayStation Network...

Yup, Killzone.com is now asking members to link their PSN accounts to their Killzone.com accounts.

***enter speculation mode***

Now, as many of you know, I've been keeping up with the Killzone 2 "Ask the Dev" thread on the PlayStation.com forums for a while now (though it was recently locked >=( ). In this thread, E0N has mentioned on several occasions that they have been working on a new Killzone.com that is planned to go live soon (though how soon, no one knows). He also said that the new Killzone.com would heavily involve the PSN, and that once the site goes up, they'll probably ease up on what he can talk about on the forums.

Fast forward to today, and the CURRENT killzone.com is aksing us to link our accounts with the PSN, and a KZ2 trailer is set to be shown in the UK on Saturday. All this stuff happening at the same time is pretty coincidental, no?

Personally, I think that the the new Killzone.com will be going live VERY soon, hence why we are being asked to link our accounts now, despite having absolutely no use for such a thing yet, and I think that the trailer this weekend will in fact be new footage.

Are we about to see the floodgates on Killzone 2 information ripped right open? I hope so. :D

Around the Network

Around the Network

But I thought Sony management were hibernating? (sarcasm)

OT: Sounds good, I hope this game is totally awesome just to shut those xbox fanboys up :P

Bungie.com did this a long time ago, but it's good to see a good idea being copied.

Now i guess we just have to hope the Killzone 2 gameplay lives up to expectations and the open beta is really coming

I believe they lock it when the 'Ask the developer' session is over and then open it on the next one.

Hmm, sounds interesting. I would definitely like to see more information on this game.

Nah, this time they locked it because E0N was getting 50 million repeat questions every day like "when's the release date" to which he could only respond "No comment."  At first he locked it while trying to decide how to improve the thread and keep that crap from happening, but now he's to just keep it locked until he can give us more info.
