Forums - Nintendo - I'm not disappointed with Nintendo's Event.

It certainly did it's job for me. And I'm not a Nintendo fan.

TBH, that's probably a big reason why you're not disappointed.

Were you planning on buying anything in the first place? I had really low expectations, not because I thought that it would suck, but because I knew that nothing would surprise me more than the Last Guardian/Final Fantasy VII/Shenmue III trifecta.

Welp, that explains it.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

It was terrible beyond belief. My heart broke seeing the mutilation of Animal Crossing. It was like that south park scene when george lucas and steven spielberg were raping Indiana jones.

It was just underwhelming and mediocre, imo.

Well I'm disappointed, but it's not the end of the world like some dudes are saying

That's probably why.

Yep. They didn't even show Fatal Frame V in the conference, which was beyond stupid.

It's good that you liked it. Especially as someone who isn't a Nintendo fan. But those of us who saw E3 as an opportunity for Nintendo to bring some big announcements were disappointed by the amount of unnecessary padding within. We didn't need a whole chunk of time dedicated to Mario Maker, which had a big presence a few days before. We didn't need a new trailer that barely showcases anything new from a game no one was really excited for anyway (ACHappyHomeDesigner). We didn't need for them talk extensively about that new Zelda multiplayer game, that's what the Treehouse event was for. And we certainly didn't need for them to spend a minute discussing a 3DS port of a Wii U game from a year ago, while showing most of the footage from a trailer, just to show the entire trailer right after.
