Forums - Nintendo - I want to talk about SMTxFE

Just watched the trailer what's SMT about that?.
Persona has the combination of juxtaposing the darker aspect's of society against the some what lighter school and social life of modern teenagers, SMT on the other hand tends to have a much darker outlook using the themes of chaos order and neutrality this darkness seems to be missing here and I can't help thinking it has a lot to do with Atlus milking Persona's success ,with fighting and dancing games plus a dungeon crawler with chibi characters this lightening of the overall tone seems to , at least from this trailer extend to the SMT part of SMTxFE.

Little TOO Anime for my taste. The JPOP singing is just unnecessary.

Not everyone can like the style they are going with, but for me, I really think this game has a lot of potential. I am a big fan of JRPGs, Fire Emblem and Jpop so this blend is something I would like to see

Still better than Akiba's Trip lol

That one is actually on my Steam to buy list for being just so over the top and not taking itself seriously one single inch as opposed to most games out there who take themselves WAY too serious.

There was a lot of mistrust and complaints when it was first announced that Metroid was going to be a first person shooter. SMTxFE does look to be going in a direction that many people would not want them to go, but the final judgement about whether or not to buy should be made when the game is released.

Personally I am optimistic about game.

I think I have to see the trailer many times, but at my first impression this is the kind of trailer that worries me more than solving my doubts.

SMTxFE was originally a system seller for me but after seeing this direction, yah...I'm losing interest in this game. To me, this just isn't SMT or FE.

Could be a hit in Japan though.

I was actually pretty impressed with it. The tone so far does seem more light-hearted than Persona, but everything shown just seems like a lot of fun, and the characters look great.

I don't listen to much J-pop, so I don't really have a stance on that. If it fits the tone of the world though, then I can't see myself complaining. Honestly, the Fire Emblem references have me more interested in this game than Persona 5 at the moment. Still stoked for both games, of course.

Looks great to me. Seems like the main (female) character has two lives, the pop star one (or maybe she's delusional), and her regular cliche'd ass high school student one. Then the heroes from the parallel universe (Fire Emblem), recruit her ass and her friends, then they all start working together to defeat an evil force and shit.

That's what I'm getting from these trailers... And I like it.
