What appalls me is that a shit ton of you forget the fan-base that never played these games. Remember a HUGE portion of the ps4's fan-base did NOT have a ps3. This is also great to gain a bigger fan-base for your next title which probably wouldn't be budgeted as much as it would with these remasters helping fund them.

You mean to BC on a limited list of indies + Mass Effect 1?

In seriousness though, remasters are a good thing. If you as a consumer don't want to buy it -- Don't. Every game that gets remastered on PS4/XB1 -- means another game that is now converted to x86 and BC on future generations. Also, when PS Now finally starts doing PS4 games, it means that the streaming service will run higher quality version of the games.
