Though a little worried about the handling. It seemed almost like Ridge Racer levels of drifting? I hope that's optional in some way.

Why not go with the handling from Underground 1+2. It clearly had a similar awesome customization, city nightlife and soundtrack.

its an arcade racing game... they all have poor handling... its not supposed to be realistic to begin with

i wasn't expecting a simulator and gran turismo type realistic handling

 

but fun andarcade handling which gives you cool handling that arcade racers are known for especially in drifting
