Forums - Sales - Top GC Games Round 2: MK:DD and SSBM switch positions

I always thought MK:DD outsold SSBM. Now this:

SSBM: 7,08

MK:DD: 6,96

Why the update?

I guess Ioi doesn´t update those old games very often but I think we had them selling about 500 units each week worldwide for some months or so... he probably added those numbers (both titles hadn´t been updated for quite some while now).

Wait, remember how IGN has always claimed this and been laughed at everywhere? They were actually right...

I believe they have been upped up, as none of them were tracked in 05 and 06, while I believe they actually sold something in those years.

That is VGChartz LONGEST review. And it's NOT Cute Kitten DS

Both the game are within any acceptable error margin of each other, but most sources tend to say it was Melee. Maybe ioi found some convincing data?

I'm assuming/hoping they (along with Sunshine and the GBA Pokemon games) were updated using Nintendo shipment numbers. But where did those come from?

If you check Nintendo's 2006 annual report on their website, you can see that not all GC games are up to date yet.

"[Our former customers] are unable to find software which they WANT to play."
"The way to solve this problem lies in how to communicate what kind of games [they CAN play]."

Satoru Iwata, Nintendo President. Only slightly paraphrased.

That's what I thought.

Not surprising SSBM has finally surpassed MK:DD as it was still selling.  Wonder how many Wii owners bought SSBM while waiting for SSBB

{phew

thank GOd that excuse for a racing game didn't beat the LEGENDARY SSBBM!

I mean come on!
