Press releases are investor meetings. I don't think Nintendo needs to do those anymore unless they're unveiling Hardware. Their digital presentation keeps provide some entertainment while keeping themselves "hidden" from journalist. Their E3 booth is massive, they have that, plus the tree house, plus huge tournaments? How are the gamers not winning?

Ultimate, people look at these things as some silly NFL Draft.

I would say they just dont give a **** about the press. The press has given them negative rep for years now for not following Sony's and MS's strategy, so they mostly cut them off and went directly to their fans.
