Because they don't sell and the hardware is too weak.
It just doesn't make sense for them.
Ubisoft and EA did support the Wii U at the beginning, but the games didn't sell really well.
Also developing for Wii U is harder than for PS4 / Xbox One afaik.

Hardware isn't too weak really. They still make cross-gen titles. Ubisoft did support the console but their titles didn't sell too well.
EA however never really did support the console at all.
It is true though that developing for Wii U is considered more difficult than the Twins.

Yeah but last gen had more powerfull CPUs, the wiius cpu is weaker than that of ps360. you have to utilize the gpu which is more powerfull on the wiiu

Because they have the xbox and the ps4 for that so they say "fuck the wii u and Nintendo, 300,000 copies are not a good business"

They cut Nintendo off because Nintendo refused to listen to them. Nintendo cannot handle most of the games coming out today on the Wii U. They spoke publically about the lowest specs needed to run their games in 2011 and Nintendo still launched the console regardless of the warnings. Even the 360 and PS3 are getting cut off. They are putting their foot down with all last gen consoles now.

This again? It's not going to matter much soon, ps360 is being phased out which gives the wii u even less chance of receiving ports in the future.

what you said and what I said sounds very logical. I mean, specs and the power of the console are one of the main reasons, but if there were 30 million Wii Us out there Wii U  owners would be playing the last gen version of gta v, Assassin's Creed Rogue and the last gen version of shadow of mordor on the wii u. Because you don't need more power than a wii u to run those games.

Nintendo still experienced a lack of multiplatform titles because the Wii was underpowered but because they had sold an amazingly large amount of consoles for the first time third party worked with them. Activision dumbed down World at War for the Wii  and companies actually ventured to create third party exclusives from scratch. Problem is even with 100 million consoles sold the Wii crowd still wouldnt buy most of the core games which spelled a problem. Understandable though because the crowd that bought the Wii were mostly not serious nor moderate gamers. It was the trend at the time. If Nintendo got popular legitimately by wooing the moderate and hardcore as well as the casuals their third party sales would be huge. I say its time to bury the hatchet with third party and just make a console that both companies can agree on like Microsoft and Sony already do.

NIntendo has the best first party. If they gained proper third party support Micorosoft would not be in second place. It would be Nintendo going toe to toe with Sony.

Ubisoft said a port of a non specified game on wii U cost 1 mill, so that must mean every freaking game port on the wii u will cost 1 million right that how the industry work, it's not like cost depend on genre, game type, length, staff members etc. or anything, it's 1 million. Just dance will cost 1 million, GTV would cost 1 million, Call of duty would cost 1 million ...

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

have you played Risen 3? pretty much all assests are recycled form past games. Which is why its so cheap. is that what you want? cheap games?

yeah i played it. And yeah they recycled alot, but still it cant be cheaper to make those games completly "from scratch" and port to 2 consoles (ports where horrible though) and make profit but just making a port, sell same numbers and dont make profit.

They still had marketing costs (risen 3 had a cgi trailer), voice action, localization costs.

They didnt make Risen 3 from scratch, thats my point. ITs as much a new game as the yearly Maddens. Your refusing to take into account the completly different architecture of the Wii u versus the others. Ninty once again put out a system for themselves first and everyone esle 2nd. Clearly if the games arent running that well on Wii U, which is something people here swear is the case then its a HW issue right there. So they either get the worst version that no on will buy or get no game at all. Ill go with option 3 they get it on there non Ninty system which is what damn near everyone does anyway.

Oh come on the budget of Risen 3 isnt even close to something of AC or COD dont care how you may want to spin that.

Because they can't compete aganst 1st party blockbusters like Splatoon.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Because they want to make money, and porting it doesn't make much
