Would Sony hire another studio to make AAA uncharted games?

So, lets Imagine Naughty Dog didn't want to make Uncharted anymore, do you think Sony Worldwide Studios would get another studio to create AAA uncharted games or do you think they'll put it to rest and reboot it maybe in a few years?

I only bring this up as me and a friend were having this discussion as Microsoft didn't have a problem Replacing Bungie and Epic with Halo and Gears, and wonder wether Sony would do the same.

Thoughts?

id think they would let it rest. without ND uncharted wouldnt ever be the same, and no point in killing the franchise slowly by giving it to another dev and having the quality drop.

I think Sony would be smart enough to let it rest and maybe ask ND to make another Uncharted game for the PS5.

I'm not really sure. The obviously value the IP a lot and there is a movie coming out for it so I don't know if they'd trust anyone else to handle it. Plus if they Sony Bend leak was true then they had an Uncharted game cancelled by Naughty Dog, not Sony. So that clearly tells me that Naughty Dog has at least some control over Uncharted.

Let it rest for abit.... think up fresh idea's and put them in a box for lateron.

Then do a reboot when you need it.

I wouldn't say they have control, but if your golden boy doesn't like something then you listen to your golden boy.

i dont think sony would let anyone but ND touch the uncharted series, at least the mainline

Naughty Dog is Sony. If Sony wants it, it will be done unless the resources arent there. Naughty Dog cannot say no because thats like Sony saying no. This isnt like the bungie, Microsoft situations where the Bungie founders stuck around and eventually because of creative differences severed their ties.
