Sony is also helping to develop the game. Part of the engine is being made by Sony.

So that pretty much seals the deal... : / Dunno why people would expect a port.

It was the subsequent Super/Ultra etc version that people were expecting to possibly come to Xbox.
Even if Sony are helping with the development, I imagined they reached a deal where Capcom only recieved enough funds to warrant making the first itteration of the game exclusive, as I thought making it multiplatform would be a high priority for Capcom, and one that Sony understood as well, and would settle for making the first itteration of the game exclusicve to boost console sales.
Doesn't seem to be the case now though.

Wasn`t that also the case with SF4U? I thought Sony helped in bringing over that version exclusively to PS4...?

You didn't actually read what they said about it did you? 

And what does a SF port made by a 3rd party have anything to do with how good 5 will be?

You're SSF IV comment just comes off as deflective for the loss of the latest entry on your console of choice. And the rest of your comment, well...way to go on not reading the OP.

when they said that they wouldnt do diferent versions of the game (like super or ultra) and instead would just use updates for changes improvements etc... i figured that would be the case but i stayed silent until an oficial anouncement

"We are console exclusive for this franchise for this numbered run."

I think the bolded part is intended to say that all potential versions of SF5 will be PS4/PC only, which considering the supposed nature of the deal, would make sense.

I really do feel bad for the Xbox One owners. The only way to play it is get either a PS4 or PC if you are a Street Fighter fan who owns the One or has mainly played the series on Xbox platforms. Otherwise, you will not be able to get it; a shame really.
