Well if we go by Murky, LiLi and brightwing, possibly babby's first Moba, it's not got gear/items you can buy in matches like you can in Dota/LoL, you do need some skill to use some heroes and know the ins and outs and sometimes look up builds or make your own by choosing the talents as you level up within the match that suits your playstyle, for example, with Johanna she's mostly a warrior hero and she can do some decent dps but I prefer her to be an absolute tank, I choose shield talents as we gain XP and once she's mostly tanky enough I use her as a means to stop enemy heroes from getting away by using one of my main abilities to drag them in, smite them to slow them down from getting away and shield glare to do some damage, if they turn around to lay into me I use my shield shield ability which means I can't be stunned and take less damage for a few seconds, combine that with her being a tanky as fuck and having possible health regen talent (along with health globe regen 1st lv talent) she can be an absolute brick wall against most heroes.
There are some heroes that require skilled players like the Lost Vikings, it's a hero split into 3 mini heroes you can control independantly but for the life of me I can't pull it off well enough, though the upside to LV is that when one dies you don't actually die and all 3 have their own respawn timers, Murky has a fast spawn timer for being weaker and Diablo if he collects enough soulgems from enemies for when he dies he'll instantly respawn for every 15 or more soulgems(if you choose the soulgem talent).
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
