At this point I think the important question is, would it matter in any way, beyond the forums?

The important question is why would it matter if it matters? People want to play the game, if it sells consoles or not is irrelevant and something Sony should think about, not us.

I think you've tripped and wandered into a sales forum...

Sales. Not console sales, or console war sales. Just sales. That includes videogame sales. Like...how much one game sells, y'know?

Thats true, perhaps I misunderstood you, I thought you were implying it doesn't matter if the game does well.

For the record, I think the game will sell enough to be profitable (assuming they've had limited manpower on it for the last 8 years). But people talking about a 'megaton' are likely overplaying what this game is - which is late to the party.

I edited to make it a bit more clear

Well ofcourse , it just some hype from veteran  fans like me, but the game it self has a critical claim on design even by game developer it self and inspire many type of element in gameplay and stories. But seeing this game never had a gazilion of marketing unlike Uncharted or God of War, i think its unfair to judge the game as a whole from sales it self , We know PS2 only sales is good on 3rd party part except Grand Turismo sales, but this time around maybe it will change. Because on 7th gen SONY has prove them self if they serious they can create their frist party games sell like crazy.  But i doubt this games will sell like Uncharted or TLOU maybe it's close to Bloodborn.

Off topic, we are not in a sales thread, there is a dedicated sales section to make sales threads, we are in the games section, we talk about what matter to gamers here, quality games.

I heard it was actually changed into a slick racing game called The Fast Guardian. Michael Pachter told me over a nice steaming hot cup of Mountain Dew,
