Forums - Gaming - Black Ops 3 confirmed for PS3 & 360, no WiiU version planned.

I thought it was clear by now that Retail Third Party Games on the Wii U are almost non existant, i dont understand the surprise of some people.

wow, whole lot of childish behaviour going on in here, just came to say "not surprised by the WiiU news"

Lol, thought they were sticking with next gen only...

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

shame.
but im ok with splatoon.

excuse me but how is a niche hack and slash supposed to take the place of a uber popular FPS series?

I have played... god, I don't even know how many hours of competitive online FPS for the last 15 years. FRom Halo, to COD to... you name it. For me, Splatoon is filling the void fine. I actually own a PS4 and I really am finished with COD. It's not a case of quality, but more or less repetition. I'm tired of the same old game every year. Halo, COD... same thing over and over and over again. It's awesome fun but at some point, it gets stale. At least for me anyway.

Splatoon is anything but stale. It doesn't look, sound, play or feel like any other FPS I've ever played and so for me, I really couldn't care less if COD was on the system. I wouldn't buy it anyway.

um yeah i get all that but he wasnt talking about Splatoon but Devil's 3rd which isnt even in the same genre.

When it comes to COD i just not buy all iterations so it remains fresh. i really like Advanced Warfare. And prior to that i only played the Treyarch ones. IW got really wack after those guys left IMHO

Because I'm tired of the same old thing from that uber popular FPS series, especially the constant lag for the online multiplayer.  So I'm hoping for something new and more exciting.  Most likely Devil's Third won't fill the void all together but I'm willing to give a new IP a chance and see what happens.

i got that, but it just made little sense to me. It would be like me saying im tired of Street Fighter ill use Fallout as a replacement, imho

IF they had ever thought about porting it to Wii-U, your opinion would have been the final reason not to. Nintendo fans buy Nintendo consoles for Nintendo games and Splatoon is going to be the go-to FPS for Wii-U fans. Even if COD were launching on it, I doubt it would outsell Splatoon and that is reason enough for them not to do it.

Seeing as Black Ops III will sell 2 million plus on both PS3 and 360, they still have a financial incentive to support those systems. I'm interested to see when they drop support for both machines...

Hmm...no Wii U support? I'm not surprised at all. I'm kinda done with COD at the moment anyways. Here's hoping Devil's Third is actually good and can take the place of COD for the Wii U.

When it's one of the only games released in the last year.

It also looks like it'll be a good game.

It's also similar, as it's CoD mixed with Ninja Gaiden.
