Is the cartoon popular? that's the only explanation for this to be a real thing.

No Wii U. This may lead to a better development, as they don't need to deal with two games (i'm not sure about this, it was only one developer who did both games?)
I call it "A Sonic of Ice and Fire."
Appropriately, you will get to witness some of your favorite characters get killed off. Or at least wish they were.

The Wii U and 3DS versions of Sonic Boom had different developers.

It does look OK. Maybe even good. Problem is it is a sequel to a game that bombed with mediocre word of mouth (and a game tied in with the Wii U game that had terrible word of mouth). This game would be better off not being tied to the Boom franchise; the show has done well but the games did atrociously horrible.

Parents that will buy this game for their children because they recogise the cartoon it's based on. And a couple of extreme Sonic loyalists.
