Which wasn't doing very well until Nintendo dropped the price by 32% within 5 months of release.

Just like PS3?

No. The PS3 didn't get a price drop so soon and certainly not by 32%.

It needed to sell decently, so in the end, it's the same. PS3 needed a huge price drop and different models to sell.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Still not comparable. The 3DS came out a year ahead of its competitor and was super cheap compared to it. Not so with the PS3.

Still needed a price cut to sell. Same situation.

Nopes. Having no competitor at release and being massively cheaper is not the same as multiple competitors at release and being massively more expensive.

The original PS1 also had a price cut of 33% only ~8 months in,

The PS2 had a price cut of 33% at 1 year, 8 months in.

The PS3 also had a price cut of 33% 12 months in but it wasn't one to one comparable (60GB w/ BC vs 40GB w/o BC)
